Archipelago and Islands Sub-programme |

 The Archipelago and Islands Sub-programme covers municipalities with archipelago parts, archipelago municipalities and islands in Estonia, Finland including Åland Islands and Sweden. Projects applying for funding from the sub-programme have to have partners from the Central Baltic Programme area from the countries participating in this sub-programme and at least one partner from the Archipelago and Islands Sub-programme area. Further, project activities should always benefit the island and archipelago parts of the sub-programme area.
In this part of the overall Programme, special emphasis has been put on the following directions of support:
Priority 1 Safe and healthy environment
• Sustainable infrastructure• Raising environmental awareness (finding new ways)
Priority 2 Economically competitive and innovative region
• Sustainable tourism• Knowledge based economy• Developing archipelago and island specific economic activities• Supporting accessibility to and information about the archipelago and the islands
Priority 3 Attractive and dynamic societies
• Social and demographic issues, especially young people
