Composition of the Committees of the Programme

The Monitoring Committee

The Monitoring Committee (MC) is responsible for taking decisions on the programme level, solves any irregularity and decides on the programme setup. It therefore needs to be kept informed of the progress towards programme objectives, the status of programme finances and any problems in programme level bodies and procedures.The Monitoring Committee is composed of national, regional, local and social representatives of the participating countries/Åland.

The Steering Committees

Each (Sub-)Programme has its own Steering Committee (SC) consisting of representatives of national, regional and local level authorities nominated by each country/Åland participating in the Central Baltic Programme. A representative of the Commission can also attend its meetings as an observer. The Steering Committees are responsible for approving the application package, selecting which projects to co-fund and reporting to the Monitoring committee on the programme implementation.
