Showcase Conference 2009

On September 15, the Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2013 will arrange its first annual Showcase Conference in Stockholm, Sweden. The conference is to provide a platform to show the progress of the Programme achieved so far but also to discuss various issues in the Central Baltic region.

The Central Baltic region is characterized by its long history of cooperation in many fields. This has both created close relationships and contributed to a common cultural heritage, which can be seen as a natural starting point for a variety of projects. But what about the future? How will this be visible in the years and decades to come?

The aim of Showcase Conference 2009 is to be a forum for reflection, guidance and encouragement for working together in the Central Baltic region. The focus of the conference is on project ideas and the future.

Is everything possible in the Central Baltic Region? What tools do I need to take my idea and make it into a concrete project? How do the youth want to see the Central Baltic Region in 2020? And how are our projects still visible in the region by 2020? These are some of the issues that will be discused during the Showcase Conference.

Amongst the speakers are Susanne Rittedal Söderblom from Drivhuset AB and Daniel Sköld from Eurosolutions. The event will be moderated by Per Lagerström from the Council for the Stockholm-Mälar Region.

Date: Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 09.30-16.00.

Place: The Showcase Conference will take place at the Kulturhuset (Cultural House) on the Sergels Torg in Stockholm, Sweden.

Deadline of registration: The registration is now closed.
