On the Europe day, May 9th, a day full of seminars and debates regarding the EU will be held at Kulturhuset in Stockholm. The Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2013 will co-arrange one of these seminars.
During this seminar you will hear persons and thoughts behind some EU projects financed by either the Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2013, the Lifelong Learning Programme in Sweden, the European Social Fund in Sweden or the European Regional Development Fund in Sweden. The seminar will discuss the possibilities of EU financing and how the various EU programmes can contribute to strengthen economies, education and the labour market. The discussion will be lead by the Swedish journalist Folke Rydén. Date: May 9, 2009 Time: 15.15-16.00 Venue: Kulturhuset, Stockholm (Studio 3) The seminar will be held in Swedish Representatives of four projects will form the panel for the discussions: Enterprising SELF – In this project the County of Örebro cooperates with regions in Estonia, Finland and Latvia to improve the attitudes towards entrepreneurship in society. Among other things they will together develop a training concept for entrepreneurship and promote entrepreneurship to be included school curriculums. The project is co-financed by the Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2012
Kunskapslotsen - The project will develop a sustainable structure for matching knowledge between academia and companies in the Stockholm region. The project which is coordinated by Stockholms Akademiska Forum, also includes five universities, näringslivets intresseorganisationer and a number of municipalities. The project is co-financed by the Regional Fund through the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth.
Spread the Sign – This project has developed an internet based tool for an international sign language dictionary. The project was started by a teacher at the Swedish National Upper Secondary School for the Deaf, Tullängsskolan in Örebro, who wanted to give his deaf students better possibilities to have successful internships abroad and in the long run better access to a European labour market. The project has been financed by the EU-programme Leonardo da Vinci through the International Programme Office for Education and Training
