19 projects foreseen to be funded by altogether 14 million euros! The first call for project applications of the Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2013 was open from June 18 to September 18, 2008 and brought to life altogether 50 interesting cross-border cooperation project applications. At the Programmes’ recent three Steering Committee meetings in December 8-16, the first funding decisions were made and 19 projects will receive a positive reply from the Programme.
In the first call the approved projects and the projects approved under condition are together foreseen to be given 13.6 million euros (14 %) of ERDF funding out of the 96 MEUR available in the whole Programme. The average total budget of an approved project is 900 000 euros of which the ERDF covers on average 80 %. New application roundsThe 2nd call for new project applications of the Central Baltic Programme is foreseen to take place from March 9 to April 15, 2009, and the application package will be available on this website before the call opens. The 3rd call for applications will take place from September 15 to October 15, 2009. The Joint Technical Secretariat will continuously hold information seminars and offer individual consultations and would like to encourage all project applicants to make contact with the secretariat in due time in order to plan their project accordingly. APPROVED projectsThe followig project applications are approved according to the application: - SMEDGE - VOMARE - EMEL 16 projects are APPROVED UNDER CONDITIONThese project applications are approved but indicated improvements have to be made to the application before project implementation. The JTS communicates the needed changes/additions to the individual projects. All other projects have been rejected.
