BTP wins Bouncing Float Award 2011In the summer, the annual Bouncing Float Award contest was declared open for the second year running. This time the theme was "Functional and innovative project websites". All projects funded by the Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2013 that have their own website were included in the contest. The Bouncing Float Award was handed over to the project’s Lead Partner, Anders Bergström in Stockholm on 23 November by the Head of the Joint Technical Secretariat and the winner announced on November 25 via the programme mailing list and also at the "Tools for project implementation seminar" for Priority 3 projects in Stockholm. The winning project, Baltic Training Programme (BTP), received a prize of a brass antique style compass to help them navigate the wonders of the world wide web.

Websites are in today's world often regarded as "must-have" objects and most projects have one. Key aspects in this perspective are the visibility/accessibility of the site, quality and organisation of the up-to-date content on the pages as well as the visual attractiveness. The BTP website has all this and comes up high in search engine listings! The graphic design of the website looks smart and fresh, yet simple.

The BTP project provides international knowledge, experiences and contacts for vocational schools and companies in Sweden, Estonia and Latvia. By doing this, the project improves the status of vocational training and helps to increase the labour mobility in the region.

The programme would like to congratulate Baltic Training Programme and urges all to have a look at their winning website: http://www.baltictrainingprogramme.eu/
