From Priorities to Action Seminar / TALLINN March 10, 2010 | Print |
Information Events

The event is full. Registration is closed.

The From Priorities to Action Seminar is organised to attract new applicants to apply for the funding. The participants will gain a better understanding of the aims of the programme and its three priorities as well as of the needs and possibilities for cooperation in our region. Example projects will be presented for each priority. The participants will also be helped in finding partners in the Project idea fair where everyone will have a possibility to present their own project idea or see if there are other projects they could take part in. At the seminar one can discover possible cooperation areas, find partners and in this way start to build up a project.

The registration form can be found at the end of this page (please scroll down).

At the moment, over 60 million euros still remain to be committed to new projects. During the year 2010 the programme organises two open calls for new applications, May 1-31 and November 1-30. So far the programme has received altogether 136 project applications out of which 46 have been approved and 38 are being assessed.

The From Priorities to Action Seminar is targeted at anyone who is interested to create a Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2013 cross-border cooperation project involving partners from Estonia, Finland (incl. Åland), Latvia and/or Sweden. Organisations like local and regional authorities, state organisations, organisations established for general interest needs and NGOs (as well as Estonian and Finnish private enterprises with exceptions) can seek for funding from the programme.

The programme priorities are:
• Safe and healthy environment
• Economically competitive and innovative region
• Attractive and dynamic societies

The first part of the seminar will highlight the needs and possibilities for cooperation under each of the three priorities by specialists from the programme area. For each priority two running projects will be introduced and the audience will have the opportunity to hear how the projects were built, what they aim at and what there is to keep in mind while building up a project and preparing the application.

The Project idea fair in the afternoon will help in finding partners. All participants are offered the opportunity to submit and publish their project idea. A project idea book will be handed out to all participants. During the fair the participants having submitted an idea together with their registration (see below) will be given a place at the fair to invite the other participants to come and discuss the idea. Additionally, each region participating in the programme will be displayed with their cooperation wishes and/or needs, and one can find information about the potential partner organisations in the participating regions of Estonia, Finland (incl. Åland), Latvia and Sweden. Please note that you can also publish the project idea in the Partner search section of the programme website by selecting the corresponding tickbox in the project idea form.
