As the Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2013 consists of the overall Central Baltic Programme, the Southern Finland - Estonia as well as the Archipelago and Islands Sub-programme, the first step in project preparation is to find out which (sub-)programme to apply for. This will then allow you to read the proper guidelines and descriptions in the Programme Document and Manual.

Finding partners
The projects to be financed need to respond to a problem or development area in need for cross-border cooperation. Consequently, a project has to have actors from more than one country. The minimum requirement is that there are 2 partners from 2 of the programme countries/Åland. In order to find the best cooperation partners for your project you need to actively search for them. Start early in the process as it takes time to find suitable partners and to agree on a joint application.
The Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2013 cannot finance project preparation. However, Swedish actors can investigate the possibilities to get funding from the Sida Baltic Sea Unit for project preparation including partner search. In this way potential cooperation partners can meet and plan their project application. You can also post your project idea to the partner search section of our web site. It allows other actors in the regions to see what project ideas there are and they can get in touch with you if they are interested in being a partner in your project.

Consulting the Joint Technical Secretariat
In order to find out if your project idea fits within the Central Baltic INTERREG IV A Programme 2007-2013 you can book a consultation time with one of the staff members of the Joint Technical Secretariat either in Mariehamn, Riga, Stockholm, Tallinn or Turku. Remember to submit your project idea to the JTS at least two working days prior to the consultation in order to allow for the JTS to prepare for the meeting and in this way to make the most of the consultation. The idea is to be submitted by using the online project idea form on this site. In case the project plan includes investments, please use the project idea form for investment projects.
